New Compact Machine Vision Systems with Built-in Display
April 1, 2001 -- Phoenix Imaging has just announced the release
of the new PVS-30-M1 Compact Machine Vision
Systems. The PVS-30 product line now has several models of compact image
processing systems available. The family includes base processor of
IV-S31, IV-S32, and IV-S33. The processing speed and number of programs
that can be stored in the unit increase with model number.
The PVS-30-M1 is designed to provide a lot of capability in a
compact package. The system come complete and ready to install right out
of the box! The system is completely wired and tested and is packaged in a
NEMA type-4 enclosure so that it can be placed in the harshest industrial
environments without a worry. The products standard configuration
provides, 8 lines of optically isolated inputs and 8 lines of optically isolated
outputs, dual power supplies, a built-in 10.4" TFT flat panel display,
external connection of teach pendant and upload links, and a 20 pin quick
disconnect for interfacing to external devices.
The
machine vision system allows for the simultaneous acquisition of two
progressive-scan sensors. Each sensor can be mounted up to 15 M from the
PVS-30 enclosure. The image processor has built-in PLC functionality with
8 counters and 8 timers to hand shake with external devices. The system
provides automatic adjustment (grayscale normalized correlation function) for
measurement tool translation in X, Y, & Ø. 360° Image rotation
correction can also be preformed.
